EPIC! - Rocky Mountain High

Ali and I first met about eight years ago while riding our Harleys with a mutual friend. Recently, Ali got in touch and suggested we meet and take some pictures together. This led to an EPIC adventure to the gorgeous state of Colorado.
On the first day, we packed up the jeep and hit the road, making sure to bring along our adventure buddy, Timmy. After hours of driving and following the navigation, we found ourselves unexpectedly lost in the middle of nowhere. But don't worry, we managed to find our way! Back on track, we headed to our destination, Echo Basin Cabin and RV Resort in Mancos, Colorado.
After getting something to eat, we settled into our cabin, lit a fire, took some star pictures, and relaxed.
On the second day, we set out to capture the beautiful fall colors of Colorado with our cameras. We began with breakfast at a local restaurant, Durango Diner. I really liked their logo, and the food was fantastic! The service was excellent, although one waitress seemed to be having a bad day. She didn't want to talk to me but was friendly towards Ali. I had ordered something similar to Ali but with a few changes, and she didn't seem to like that. Who knows why?
The next few days, we visited Silverton, Telluride, and Ouray, Co., along with many side dirt roads and trails, while trying to capture that perfect fall picture. We hiked a few trails and, unfortunately, lost Timmy several times as he kept falling off of my backpack. We also enjoyed great meals and drinks at various places, observed other photographers in action, and almost captured a moose. However, we were too slow getting out of the jeep. We soaked in the  Durango Hot Springs for my birthday. Then we had the best birthday meal ever: roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over an open fire - until a skunk decided to join us. It was one of the most memorable birthdays ever.
